This policy explains what personal information The Ontrack Group ("TOG", "we", "us", "our") collects through this website (theontrackgroup.co.nz), why we collect it, how we look after it, and what rights you have over it.

This policy covers your use of our website and signing up for our email communications. If you're a client engaged under a signed proposal or terms of engagement, that document may set out additional detail on how we handle information relevant to that specific engagement. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with our website, we may collect:

- Contact Details you give us, such as your name and email address, when you sign up to our mailing list or submit a contact/enquiry form

- Enquiry Content anything you tell us in a message, form, or email.

- Technical Data such as your IP address, browser type, and how you use our website, collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools (see our Cookie Policy)

We don't knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health, ethnicity, or political information) through this website.

Email Marketing

If you sign up to our mailing list, we'll use your email address to send you the updates you signed up for. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. This complies with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Unsubscribing from marketing emails doesn't affect any separate communications relating to a client engagement.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us run our website and communications, including:

- Zenler our website hosting platform and email marketing tool. Zenler stores your contact details and any information you submit through our site or mailing list sign-up.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our site.
- Meta (Facebook) and/or Google advertising tools we may, from time to time, run online advertising that uses tracking pixels to measure how our ads perform. We're not currently running paid advertising, but this policy covers periods when we are.

These providers only use your information to deliver the service to us, under their own privacy and security obligations. Some of these providers store or process data outside New Zealand (Zenler and Google both operate internationally, so your data may be stored on servers outside NZ). Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable with the Privacy Act 2020.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our legal rights.
