These terms apply to your use of this website (theontrackgroup.co.nz) and to signing up to receive emails or marketing communications from us. They do not cover the terms of any paid engagement with The Ontrack Group ("TOG", "we", "us", "our"). If you're a client, the terms of that engagement are set out in your signed proposal or terms of engagement, which take priority over anything here for that engagement.
By using this website or signing up to receive communications from us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or sign up.
Using our website
Content on this website (text, logos, articles, resources, templates) is owned by TOG or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You're welcome to view and reference it for your own personal or business use. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or republish our content for commercial use without permission
- Modify our materials and present them as your own
- Remove copyright or ownership notices
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract underlying systems or tools from the site
We may update or remove website content at any time without notice.
Accuracy of information
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on this website current and accurate, but we don't guarantee it's complete, error-free, or up to date at all times, and we may update it without notice. General content on the site (articles, guidance, resources) is provided for general information only and isn't a substitute for advice specific to your situation - see your engagement terms for anything relating to paid work we do for you.
Your privacy
We collect limited personal information through this website — for example, your name and email address if you sign up for our mailing list, or details you submit through a contact or enquiry form.
- We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020
- We only use the information you give us for the purpose you gave it to us (e.g. sending you the updates you signed up for, or responding to your enquiry).
- We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, and we don't sell or share your information with third parties except where necessary to operate our systems (e.g. our email platform) or where required by law.

Email marketing and newsletter sign-up
If you provide your email address to receive updates, newsletters, or marketing from us:
- We'll only send you marketing emails with your consent (i.e. because you signed up)
- Every marketing email will clearly identify who it's from and include a working unsubscribe link, in line with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007
- You can unsubscribe at any time by using that link or contacting us at hello@theontrackgroup.co.nz
- Unsubscribing from marketing emails is separate from any direct communications you have with us as a client under a signed engagement
